Tea has a history spanning over thousands of years. Our understanding of what we now know as tea finds its beginning in ancient China. As with all ancient history, stories will differ on how the beverage was discovered. Some believe it was discovered by the Emperor himself after the wind blew leaves into his cup of water. Most likely it was one of many herbs used in ancient medicine, becoming a staple due to its unique flavors and caffeine.
