Matcha has had a long-standing history in the tea world and has since become and mainstay among tea drinkers. Known for its intense but not overpowering caffeine kick, Matcha has proven itself to be a good alternative to the morning espresso shot.
History: Matcha can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty in 8th century China. By the 12th century, it has become a popular way to prepare green tea. Soon, it would finds its way to Japan where it become a staple way to prepare tea among monks, further increasing its popularity. Over time, the Matcha crafting process became an art and Japan has made a name for itself as true craftsmen of this type of tea.

Origin: Aichi, Japan
Brewing: 165°F whisked thoroughly, recommended 1g or flat ½ tsp for 6 fl oz water
