Supreme Da Hong Pao

One of the most exclusive and harder to find teas in the world, this tea has a robust taste with little to no bitterness. Besides its unique history, one of the main draws to this long leaf oolong is its unique woodsy character, which pairs with sweet and fruity tones. 

History: According to legend, the emperors mother had become severely ill, and was only able to get better after drinking tea from four of these special Wuyi tea bushes. Grateful, the emperor gifted red robes to protect the plants. In 2007, 2 of these plants were preserved as mother plants, protecting them from harvest for tea. Because of this, their last few harvests have caught a pretty penny, helping the reputation as one of the most exclusive and expensive teas in the world. Most versions of this tea are made from offspring of the original bushes, making it possible for everyone to enjoy.

Aroma: Lightly smoky and malt 

Flavor:  smooth and rich caramel with slight malt taste 

Brewing: 195°F for 2 minutes, Recommended 3g of tea for 6 fl oz water
