Also known by its Chinese name of Tie Guanyin, this tea has a very refined floral flavor along with a slight sweetness and satisfying richness.
History: This tea was first cultivated in Fujian province by a man named Wei. Wei wanted to help upkeep a decaying temple but did not have the means. He did simple cleaning and worship at the temple as it was all he could do for many months. It is said he was visited by the merciful bodhisattva Guanyin, telling him where to find the tea, and that he was supposed to share it with the world.
Aroma: milky with a slight floral and earthiness
Flavor: buttery and floral with a slight richness
